Murungidyal Well-being Retreat
Meaning “Women’s Healing Place” in the Wiradjuri language, DGP provides a dedicated residential space where women can access culturally appropriate therapies, engage in group healing sessions, and build supportive relationships with peers and mentors. This immersive experience allows for deeper healing and fosters a strong sense of community.
Target Audience: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women aged 18 and over who have experienced family violence (including those on Family Violence Intervention Orders or court-ordered referrals). Self-referrals are also accepted.
Delivery: a 6-week residential program offering safe and supportive transitional housing.
Unique Features: Provides intensive cultural and therapeutic support in a residential setting, including individual and group therapy with an Aboriginal psychologist, and medically supervised detoxification (if required).
